Thailand Vacation Rentals – Stay In A Luxury Home At An Affordable Price

Friday, April 23rd, 2010

It is no longer a secret that you can have a great vacation in Thailand. Year on year, an ever greater number of people are visiting south-east Asia’s tourist hotspot. Thailand offers everything that you could want from a vacation – guaranteed sunshine, beautiful beaches, an enchanting culture, warm and friendly local people, etc.

If you opt to stay in a hotel, and there are many good ones, you will end up paying a premium. This is a mistake that many people make. A better alternative is to rent a vacation home. Vacation homes are widely available in Thailand, as there are many non-Thais who have built / bought homes there who rent them out to others for the duration of the year that they are not living in them.

If you stay in a Thailand vacation rental home then you can enjoy all of the benefits of being in a house that are not available in hotels. You also have more choice as to the exact location that you want to stay in. Expect to find several bedrooms, comfy sofas, private swimming pools and landscaped gardens.

You can forget about having to do any chores too. Why? Because a maid will be available to do anything that you do not want to do yourself. No cooking, cleaning or doing laundry. All you need to do is turn up, unpack your bags, and then spend your vacation relaxing.

Hopefully you are now fully convinced that Thailand vacation rentals are a great idea. So then, how do you arrange it? The good news is that it really could not be easier. You do not need to contact the owners of these properties yourself and so you do not have to worry about getting ripped off. There are established real estate firms in Thailand that can take care of everything for you.

Tell a Thailand vacation rentals company the size and type of property that you want and they will find you one that matches your needs. They have huge portfolios of luxury properties for you to choose from. Pictures and detailed information for each property are available – just ask.

A Big Move To Thailand And A New Thai Bride Dating Company

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Finally back at home in my London home, having just returned from a fun and relaxing three weeks in Thailand. So having kissed my lovely beautiful Thai bride I settled down to open the big pile of post that had accumulated. It didn’t take line before my mood had changed. I had two parking tickets totalling 260.00 plus a 550.00 invoice from Thames water. This was then followed by a very formal demand with 14 days to pay from the water board for 1600.00 to fix a leak in their pipe! Oh how I wanted to get straight back on that plane.

What followed was a series of un-related events that started to make me consider my future and in particular my living situation. Since moving Chanichar (my Thai wife) to England I could see that some of the fun had been sapped out of her, I could see the stress taking the toll on her. In England and London you live to work, you grab a quick lunch and then you normally eat at your desk – I often work 6 days a week, sometime even more. Then several things really upset me like the MP’s expenses row which wouldn’t have normally bothered me really annoyed me, If it was any of us claiming for mortgages we didn’t have we would be sacked and charged. That’s it I declared over glass of Pinot – we are moving to Pattaya and starting a Thai Bride dating site.

On a recent trip to see her family in Nakhonphanom my wife (Chanichar) was surprised to find many old friends appearing at her house with photos and hurriedly printed or hand written profiles seeking her help in finding a husband. She was even more suppressed to find ladies from the next town whom she had never meet also knocking at her door.

So because of these encounters she felt there could be a need for a modern bridal dating agency and www.beautifulthibride.com was conceived. My wife spend the next three months working with programmers and designers so that on coming to Thailand she could launch her site.

Wow now we are here in sunny Pattaya – we have been here since the end of October. We have a house, an office, staff and bank accounts, we have internet and satellite TV – it was all very easy and very quick and I must say much much easier then doing the same thing in the UK.

It’s been an exciting first month and a half. I am a qualified dive master and my wife has launched her web site – she has over 2000 new members in the first month – she is so excited about helping people find their true love. So if you get a chance and may be looking for a Thai bride or are interested in Asian dating then do drop by. I will also post a regular blog about our journey to the Land Of Smiles.

Want to find out more about Asian Dating, then visit my wifes Chanichars web site to find out about online dating where to find your Beautifull Thai Bride.

Porsche 977 Carrera

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

A new Porsche 911 is always fascinating because it’s exciting to see how after more than 40 years of development the Porsche team still manages to bring alterations and advancements to this iconic model.

The new 997 blends the silky modern looks of the 996 series with the fashionable retro styling of the older 911’s. The front end is finished with round lights and separate parking/fog/indicator lights. This modification, coupled with wider hips echoes the last of the air-cooled 911’s, the 993. Other changes in the body shell are the new door handles, wing mirrors and the trendy cut of the rear wings into the bumper/lights.

Even if the 997 looks a lot like the preceding model, the 996, the new car is in point of fact 38mm wider which makes for a more forceful look. With each new model brought out, Porsche has tried to reduce the drag co-efficient helping the 911 glide through the air more efficiently thereby aiding performance. The same thing has been done with the new car, and if we compare the 993 Cd of 0.34 to the 997`s 0.28, we can see how far the aerodynamic game has moved on. The latest body shell and rear wing combine with new under body paneling to also offer increased levels of down force for this latest evolution of Porsche’s best.

The latest Porsche model has the best handling 911 ever. Improving a car’s rigidity helps ensure that the suspension is able to work more efficiently and while not making such a quantum leap as the team did with the 996, Porsche enhanced torsional rigidity by 8% and added as much as 40% more strength.

For their new model car, Porsche sought to enhance crash safety provisions so they added two new air bags, which are situated in the side of each front seat back-rest and are calculated to protect the thorax. They also kept the previous two front and two side airbags, which means that now there are six air bags in total. For the same reason, that is crash safety, the reinforced body shell boasts further protection such as a more extensive use of super high strength steel.

The latest model is also 50 kg heavier than the 996. The reason is that modern crash safety regulations sort of compel vehicle manufacturers to produce new cars of increased weight, despite the prevalent use of a large range of weight saving measures, such as an aluminum bonnet.

Apart from the crash safety improvements, much of the increased weight can be attributed to the higher standard specifications of the new cars. The power to weight ratio is analogous with the latest car offering 233 bhp per tonne against it’s predecessors 238 but the new model’s superior aerodynamics must assist it achieve Porsche’s claimed performance figures, which are identical to those of the 996.

Careers in Deep Sea Diving

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Have you ever considered an elite occupation? If you have, then you may have a lot of different careers in mind. If you enjoy scuba diving, then you may be asking yourself what kind of career you can get from scuba diving aside from being a scuba diving instructor. Apart from just being able to explore the ocean, you will see that there are occupations that entail deep sea diving.

There are a lot of occupations that involve deep sea diving. One such career is that of being a commercial diver. This kind of diving requires a lot of courage and strict qualifications.

Deep sea divers are implicated in a lot of types of projects. One is salvage work on sunken ships, while others include the cleaning of the hulls of ships. Deep sea divers are also needed on deep sea oil rigs to weld pipes undersea as well as clean steel.

There is a wide scope of projects that require commercial divers. However, training is very thorough as you will have to deal with dangerous materials undersea, such as high explosives and you will be in hazardous situations too. In this regard, commercial divers are distinctive from typical recreational divers, because they are well-trained in all aspects of diving safety to the point that everything they do undersea should be just right.

So, how does one become a commercial diver? First of all, you must remember that commercial diving is different from recreational diving. Having an open water qualification is just not enough for you to become a qualified commercial diver. You still need to go to train for this type of employment.

In commercial diving school, you will be taught all about dive tables and how to use them. You will also be taught about undersea welding and how to handle high explosives underwater. Safety is the most significant aspect of commercial diving.

You will also be taught undersea communications and emergency safety procedures in case something goes wrong. In commercial diving, you will also learn about the dangers of working underwater, especially in deep diving, where nitrogen narcosis is quite common. You will also learn about the symptoms of nitrogen sickness or bends and how to become aware of it if a fellow diver is suffering from nitrogen narcosis.

You will also be taught about the different air mixes necessary to diving, such as air, nitrox, and trimix. This is important as you will be breathing it undersea. Breathing the wrong blend when you go deep sea diving can be fatal.

Commercial diving is a promising occupation that is full of adventure. The pay is one of the highest in the world and you will also be able to use hi-tech scuba diving equipment, such as rebreathers, state-of-the-art undersea scooters, underwater radio communications, as well as hi-tech industrial equipment.

Deep sea diving careers, such as commercial diving is a gratifying career. If you have the gumption for it and you want a occupation that is full of adventure, then commercial diving is for you. Just remember that in deep sea diving, safety must always come first. Remember these things and you can be sure that you will be able to have a wonderful and gratifying career as a commercial diver.

Onward Travel From Australia

Monday, September 7th, 2009

If you are planning a trip to Australia, you’ve probably already worked out that it’s a long way from anywhere else! It also takes a long time to get here especially if you are travelling from Europe or the US. So, most try to combine a trip to Australia with a few other places just to make the most of being in the southern hemisphere and in this part of the world.

A stop off will only work if you have enough time. You need at least 3 weeks to visit Australia and then you will only be visiting a small proportion of this fantastic country. A 2 night stop off is do-able if you have a 3 week holiday to Australia.

Asia is generally the preferred stop off destination. This is particularly true if you are coming from Europe as most flights stop to refuel here. It means there is usually a very small cost for including a stop over to your flight. Here are some of the best stop off destinations:

Bangkok and Thailand

Many Australians choose this destination for a holiday or a stop off on their way to Europe. There are a few operators flying to Thailand which keeps the prices reasonable. Plus, Thailand is still relatively inexpensive when you arrive.

Here are some suggestions as to what to do whilst in Bangkok:

1) A must visit is the Grand Palace. Whilst you can’t actually go into the Palace the buildings are beautiful and can be admired from the outside. This is the official residence of the King but is now only used for special occasions.

2) Visit The Wat Sai Floating Market by barge. You can pick one up outside the Grand Palace and try and get one that will take you to the Royal Barges Museum too. The boats here are beautiful and have been used for the King.

3) If shopping is your thing then head to Chatuchak Weekend Market . It’s easy to get lost here as the place is so large. It’s also a great place to eat as there are lots of restaurants. The market opens at 7am and I suggest you get there early to avoid the crowds and the heat.

4) If you’d like to see the hidden gems of Bangkok and want to be a bit different then take a Segway Tours These are a two wheeled electronic device and are easy to use. A great way to see this city.

5) No trip to Thailand is complete without experiencing the Bangkok nightlife. Head to the city and take in a lady boy show or just enjoy a few drinks and watch the world go by.

If a beach holiday is more your thing then head to Phuket in Thailand. Jet Star flies directly to Phuket from Australia and you can usually find cheap flights if you wait for a sale or book well in advance.

Phuket itself is a major tourist destination and as a result it is full of touristy stalls, restaurants and heaps of bars. This is not the place if you are wanting a quiet beach holiday. It’s more like going to Ibiza but in Asia! The surrounding area however is lovely and offers more tranquil resorts. Phi Phi Island is a favourite day tour and great place to actually stay (It’s near where they filmed “The Beach.”)

There isn’t room in this article to explore all the stop off alternatives. Other stop over options include Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Singapore. If you are travelling from the US then Fiji is a good stop off to break up the flight and see another beautiful island getaway.

If you do intend to spend a couple of months in Australia then I’d consider including a trip to New Zealand or even Bali to your plan. Both are only a few hours onward flight from Australia.
